CCOPAB celebrates International Day of UN Peacekeepers
On May 30, the International Day of the United Nations Peacekeepers was celebrated at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). A tribute was paid to all peacekeepers - military, police and civilian personnel -, who under the aegis of the UN, participated in missions to keep peace overseas.
Delegation of the Armed Forces Social Services visit CCOPAB
On May 22, a delegation of the Brazilian Armed Forces Social Services visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The visitors are as it follows: Rear Admiral Valter Citavicius Filho – Director of the Navy Social Services; Major General (Air Force) Doctor Eduardo Serra Negra Camerini – Director of the Health and Social Services Department; Major General Selmo Umberto Pereira – Director of the Army Social Services; Quartermaster Major General (Air Force) Luiz Antônio Pontes – Deputy Director of the Air Force Management and Special Assigments Department and other officers.
ROTC cadets visit CCOPAB
On May 17, a delegation of the Reserve Officers Training Corps of the American Army visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). Thirty-three cadets and three officers and one NCO composed the delegation. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the bonds between Brazil and the USA.
Military personnel from the Quartermaster Advanced Course visit CCOPAB
On May 10, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center received the visit of 48 students of the Quartermaster Advanced Course (EsAO, acronym in Portuguese) by means of a cooperation program between both military units. The aim of the visit was to show the overarching mission of the Center as well as the courses that are carried out.
Director of the United Nations Information Center visits CCOPAB
On May 7, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received the visit of Mr. Maurizio Giuliano, Director of the United Nations Information Center in Rio de Janeiro (UNIC-Rio).
End of Military Experts on Mission Course
On May 4, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) finished one more edition of the Military Experts on Mission Course (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese). The closing ceremony of the Course was held at the Honor Hall and chaired by Colonel Machado, CCOPAB’s Commander. Colonel Martorelli, from the General Inspectorate of the Military Police, and Colonel Menezes Melo, from the Land Operations Command, attended the event as well.
