Rio do Janeiro (RJ) - In the evening of August 08, thirteen members of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at Correios Cultural Center.
Rio de Janeiro – Between July 16 and 20, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) carried out the Course for Journalists in Conflict Areas (EPJAIAC, acronym in Portuguese). The aim of the course is to train journalists and press agents to work in armed conflict areas or in peace missions under the aegis of the United Nations. The course, which is held once a year and is supervised by the Brazilian Army Social Communication Center (CComSEx), had 35 press members as attendees, who came from different Brazilian states and one from Canada.
Rio de Janeiro – Between July 09 and 13, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) carried out one more edition of the Commander and Staff Course for the Maritime Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL/MTF).
Rio de Janeiro – The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) and Igarapé Institute carried out the second yearly edition of the meeting of the Brazilian Network of Research on Peace Operations (REBRAPAZ, acronym in Portuguese). The event was held at the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff College (ECEME) on July 5, gathering military authorities, civilians, diplomats and members of universities who study peace operations.
Rio de Janeiro – On July 6, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received the visit of Major General Kleber Nunes Vasconcellos, Chief of Peace Missions, Aviation and Military Police General Inspector of the Land Operations Command.
São José dos Campos (São Paulo) – On June 27, Colonel Machado, Commander of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), delivered a lecture on the theme “Brazilian Participation in UN peace missions: past, present and future” in the 18th Extension Course on National Defense.
