Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On June 26, sixty-three students from the Brazilian Army Logistics Sergeants School (EsSLog, acronym in Portuguese) visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese).
Between June 18 and 21, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) carried out one more edition of the Civil-Military Coordination Course (CIMIC). The aim of the course is to disseminate knowledge among those who will work with coordination within the United Nations.
On June 18, Major General Vinicius Ferreira Martinelli, Director of the Board of Technical Military Education (DETMil, acronym in Portuguese), along with Lieutenant Colonel André Almeida and Warrant Officer Do Carmo, visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese).
On June 13, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received the visit of undergraduate students from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
Between June 11 and 15, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) carried out one more edition of the Course on Logistics and Reimbursement in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations. The course had 23 attendees, being officers and NCOs of the Brazilian Armed Forces and it aimed at training personnel to serve in logistics and reimbursement matters.
The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) visited the Humanitarian Task Force in Roraima, north of Brazil, where Operation Acolhida takes place. The aim of the visit was to learn about the situation and verify the possibility to provide training regarding this kind of operation for the military personnel that will be deployed to the mission area.
