ROTC cadets visit CCOPAB
On May 17, a delegation of the Reserve Officers Training Corps of the American Army visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). Thirty-three cadets and three officers and one NCO composed the delegation. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the bonds between Brazil and the USA.
Lieutenant Colonel Bolzan, Chief of the Planning and Coordination Division, received the visitors, who were introduced to the Officers of the Center´s General Staff and Chiefs of Division. Later on, a presentation on the overarching mission of the Center, its courses and the participation of Brazilian military personnel in current peace missions was made.
The delegation also visited the Haiti Memorial, which was built in honor of the fallen in the earthquake. At the end of the visit, Major Gilbert, the most senior member of the delegation, signed the Book of Honor of the Training Center.
