Huehuetoca, Mexico – Between November 14 and 24, a Mobile Training Team (MTT), composed of instructors of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), coordinated the first edition of the Unit Commanders and Joint Staff Course for military personnel of Mexico, who will be deployed to peace missions. The Course is being held for 40 military members, being 30 from the Army and 10 Marines in the 37-C Military Camp in Mexico. The MTT is composed of two officers and two NCOs from the Brazilian Army and one officer of the Brazilian Navy.
India – Between November 13 and 17, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) contributed for the 17th Course for Military Observers in the Indian Peace Operations Center (CUNPK), in New Dheli.
Training Brazilian Navy personnel for the Maritime Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL/MTF) was the primary goal of the Commander and Staff Course held by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese).
The main goal of the International Conference “Brazil in Haiti, a successful story”, which was carried out by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), was to recall the outstanding performance of the Brazilian troops in the last 13 years serving the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH, acronym in French).
On October 4, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received the visit of Mr Sergio De La Pena, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs, and his delegation. The aim of the visit was at strengthening the bonds of cooperation between Brazil and the United States.
Between September 25 and 29, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) held for the second time this year the Civil-Military Coordination Course (CIMIC). The aim of the course is to capacitate Brazilian and Friendly Nations military personnel to work with activities related to the United Nations Civil Affairs System and go over Civil-Military related subjects with members of the academia and of interested institutions.
