Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center, Sérgio Vieira de Mello Center, aims at training military, police and civilian personnel from Brazil and friendly nations to work in peace mission and humanitarian demining. There are five members of State Police taking the current Military Experts on Mission (UNPOL) course (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese).

From 29 October to 23 November, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center, Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, offers the 3rd phase of the Military Experts on Mission Course (MEoM). The MEoM aims at preparing military and police personnel to be deployed in UN PKOs as: Staff Officers, Military Observers and UNPOL.
