Buenos Aires-Argentina No período de 11 a 14 de dezembro de 2018, na Cidade de Buenos Aires, Argentina, nas Instalações do Centro Argentino de Entrenamiento Conjunto para Operaciones de Paz (CAECOPAZ), o Maj ZUMA, instrutor da Divisão de Educação e Treinamento do CCOPAB, participou do Training of Trainers (ToT) Course on Civilian Protection and the Responsability to Protect (R2P).
On December 19, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center received the visit of Lieutenant Colonel Seo Jeonghoe, Defense Attaché of the Republic of Korea. The aim of the visit was to strengthen bonds between Brazil and Korea and also to enhance the exchange of experiences regarding Peace Operations with the Korean Armed Forces.
From December 10 to 14, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center gave support to the Selection Assistance and Assessment Team (SAAT), which is a United Nations party that tests volunteering Police Officers for Peace Missions. The volunteers were submitted to English and French skills exams, an interview, computer, driving and shooting tests.
Between November 19 and 30, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) took part in the 2018 operational exercise CRUZEX, which took place in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. CRUZEX is a multinational exercise carried out by the Brazilian Air Force and it aims at the joint training of conflict scenarios.
On November 29, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) supported the training of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) by carrying out the practical activities of the Course on Safe and Secure Approaches in Field Environments (SSAFE). The certification ceremony was held at CCOPAB’s facilities and followed by a cocktail.
From December 3 to 7, two officers of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) participated of the Staff Officer Course at the Argentine Peace Joint Training Center (CAECOPAZ, acronym in Spanish), in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lieutenant Commander (Marines) Álvaro Tadeu Ribeiro and Captain Felipe Vaz de Freitas took part in the course as CCOPAB’s representatives.
