Board of Technical Military Education visits CCOPAB
On June 18, Major General Vinicius Ferreira Martinelli, Director of the Board of Technical Military Education (DETMil, acronym in Portuguese), along with Lieutenant Colonel André Almeida and Warrant Officer Do Carmo, visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese).
After meeting the officers, General Martinelli also visited Haiti Memorial, which was built to pay tribute for the fallen in 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Next, Colonel Machado, CCOPAB’s Commander delivered a lecture on the tasks carried out by the Center regarding the preparation of military, police and civilian personnel for United Nations peace missions.
Moreover, the delegation visited the Shooting Simulator and other facilities of the Joint Center in order to verify its maintenance. At the end of the visit, General Martinelli signed CCOPAB’s Book of Honor.
