French Ministry of Foreign Affairs visits CCOPAB
On June 8, representatives of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jean Pierra Bat, expert on Africa and Mrs. Christelle Chatrian Gomes, first Secretary of the French Embassy, visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center. The aim of the visit was to strengthen the bonds between Brazil and France.
Colonel Machado, CCOPAB’s Commander, along with other officers hosted the visitors, who later learned more about the overarching mission of the Center and all the tasks that are carried out regarding the preparation of military, police and civilian personnel for United Nations missions.
They also signed the Book of Honor and visited Haiti Memorial, which is a tribute for the fallen during 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
