OPENING OF THE UNITED NATIONS REGIONAL TRAINING OF TRAINERS COURSE FOR STAFF OFFICERS 2013
Today (April 15th) the opening ceremony of the UN regional "Training of Trainers course for Staff Officers 2013 " took place at the "General Ernani Ayrosa Center", in Itaipava-RJ. The ceremony was presided by Col Cid, the representative of theBrazilian Ministry of Defense, accompanied by Lt Col Salomão, Deputy Commander of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Joint Center (Centro Conjunto de Operações de Paz - CCOPAB)
From 15 to 26 of April, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (acronym in Portuguese: CCOPAB) and the United Nations' Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO/UN) will hold a Training of Trainers Course for Staff Officers in Peacekeeping Missions. The course will take place in the facilities of General Ernani Ayrosa Center in Itaipava – Petrópolis
On the afternoon of 05 April, General Vilela - Ground Operations (COTER, acronym in Portuguese) Commander accompanied by General Modesto – Eastern Military (CML, acronym in Portuguese) Commander and Lieutenant General Abreu – 1st Army Division Commander visited the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese).
On 04 April, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) received Major General Pedro Antônio Fioravante Silvestre Neto - Director of Military Technical Education (DETMil). Colonel Baganha, commander of the Center welcomed the general who received the officers presentation in the noble hall.
On April 4th, CCOPAB carried out an exhibition for the military personnel of the Center, allusive to International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action.
