The Commander of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB), Colonel Baganha, took part in the Preparatory Meeting for the General Assembly of the Latin Association of Peacekeeping Operations Training Centers (ALCOPAZ) from March 27 to 29, in Quito, Ecuador
On 26 March, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) received two representatives of the US Government – Mr. Michael Larmas Smith, program director of the Global Peacekeeping Operations Initiative.
On the fourth and last day of the course, the participants had contact with a program called Stop Disasters Game.
On the morning of March 15, the military personnel from the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center took part in the unveiling of the bust of Sergio Vieira de Mello in the Square of the same name in Leblon, South Area of Rio de Janeiro – RJ.
The third day of the CIMIC Course started with a lecture given by Major Mc Carthy, from Chile, who spoke about "The Experiences of Chile in Peacekeeping Missions".
