Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 13 August, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – took part in the 2nd Seminar on Health Support to Military Operations, whose theme was Health Officer's Work in Peace Missions. The event was promoted by the Army Health School and its audience was the students of the Training Course for Health Service Officers of that school.

Brasília (DF) - On 15 August 2019, under the coordination of the Peace Operations Sub-chief, GEN Rolemberg Ferreira da Cunha, CCOPAB Commander, COL Marco Antônio Estevão Machado, presented a lecture on the results obtained by CCOPAB in the first half of 2019 to the Joint Chief of Staff Officer from Armed Forces, GEN (Air Force) Raul Botelho, to the Head of Joint Operations, GEN (Air Force) Carlos de Almeida Baptista Júnior. On that occasion, CCOPAB Commander highlighted the role of the Center as a tool for the projection of the Armed Forces, nationally and internationally, as well as CCOPAB's interaction with the academia

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On August 16th, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – concluded the Mine Action Course, which lasted for five weeks, in which technical aspects and practical exercises were addressed. The objective of the activity was to train military personnel and auxiliary forces to perform functions in humanitarian demining missions under the aegis of international organizations.

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On August 2nd, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - held a VTC during the Mine Action Course. The aim of this course is to prepare military personnel to be deployed in Colombia as part of the humanitarian demining mission under the aegis of the Organization of the American States (OAS). From New York City, GEN Gerson Menandro Garcia de Freitas (Military Advisor to the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the UN), COL Márcio Carneiro Barbosa (Assistant to the Military Advisor) and Mr. Alexander Riebl (IED Threat Mitigation Advisor) participated in this course.

Rio de Janeiro, RJ - On July 23, military personnel of the Supply Section from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - took part in the Basic Notions of Hygiene and Food Handling Course at Subsecretariat of Surveillance, Sanitary Supervision and Zoonoses Control (SUBVISA-SMS, acronym in Portuguese) from Rio de Janeiro city.

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 15 to 19 July, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - held the Training Course for Journalists and Press Advisors in Conflict Areas (EPJAIAC, acronym in Portuguese).
