Brasília (DF) – On October first and second, Ministry of Defense held Friendly Nations Defense Attaché Course in its facilities and also in the 1st Cavalry Regiment of Guard in Brasília. In total, 37 foreign attachés, distributed among 21 countries, participated in the event.
Rio de Janeiro, RJ – On 24 September 2019, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, received the visit of the General Staff Course of the War College from the Republic of Colombia. The delegation consisted of 31 student officers and Rear Admiral Juan Ricardo Roza Obregon, who was responsible for the delegation. Colonel Jose Israel Bejarano Daza, Colombian Defense Attaché, and Lieutenant Commander Yuri Duarte de Almeida, coordinating officer from Joint Staff of the Armed Forces, were also present.
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) subordination passage ceremony was carried out on 03 September 2019. After 14 years of subordination to the 1st Army Division - Mascarenhas de Moraes Division, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center became part of the Military Technical Education Board (DETMil, acronym in Portuguese), according to Ordinance No. 1179, of the Army Commander, on August 5, 2019.
Campo Grande (MS) - From 12 to 23 August, a team from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center -, composed by LTC (Air Force) Ayres, MAJ (Army) Christiane Lima, MAJ (Air Force) Henrique Santos, MAJ (Military Police from Goiás State) Barcellos and 2nd Sgt (Army) Gabriel Machado went to Campo Grande city, in Mato Grosso do Sul, to carry out the Instruction for the Training of Air Units, offered by Brazil in the UN Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System.
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – From August 5th to 9th, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – carried out Civil-Military Coordination Course (CIMIC). This activity aimed at the target audience of the 4th year cadets from the Agulhas Negras Military Academy (AMAN, acronym in Portuguese), as well as cadets from the State Police and undergraduate students from universities that are members of the Brazilian Research Network on Peace Operations (REBRAPAZ, acronym in Portuguese).
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 13 August, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – took part in the 2nd Seminar on Health Support to Military Operations, whose theme was Health Officer's Work in Peace Missions. The event was promoted by the Army Health School and its audience was the students of the Training Course for Health Service Officers of that school.
