Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 15 May, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Center, Sergio Vieira de Mello Center, received the Joint Staff Officer entourage from Armed Forces. The aim of this visit was to know the structure and the capabilities of CCOPAB.
Curitiba (PR) – From 7 to 9 May, the Commander of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Center, COL Machado, took part in an academic week from International Relations at UNICURITIBA. At the occasion, COL Machado delivered a lecture on “Peacekeeping Operations as a tool to solve conflicts” for Law and International Relations students.
Rio de Janeiro, RJ – On 3 May, an entourage from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – visited a French Navy Task Force group made up of amphibious assault helicopter carriers (BPC – Bâtiment de Projection et de Commandement) Tonnerre – L 9014, “Mistral” trademark and a frigate La Fayette – F 710, docked at the Rio de Janeiro Port.
San José, Costa Rica – The Veterinarian Colonel Francisco Augusto, from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – presented his work “Disease Prevention in the Brazilian Government's Humanitarian Aid Mission to Venezuelan Refugees – Unique Health in the Army” at the 35th World Veterinary Association Congress.
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 23 April, students from Operational Health Course (CSOp, acronym in Portuguese) support the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), Sergio Vieira de Mello Center. As monitors, the students from the Brazilian Army Logistics Sergeants School (EsSLog, acronym in Portuguese) took part in the first aid instructions that were given to national and international military personnel who are taking the Military Experts on Mission Course this year at CCOPAB.
Osasco (SP) – From 31 March to 12 April, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – took part in the preparation of the 5th Humanitarian Logistics Task Force in Roraima – Bandeirantes Contingent, which will get into action at Acolhida Operation. This activity took place in the facilities of the 4th light Infantry Battalion in Osasco, São Paulo.
