Barra do Ribeiro City/Brazil - On July 15, the United Nations (UN) Inspection Team planted tree seedlings in an Environmental Compensation Area located in a stretch of Guaíba Operation - Duplication Work of BR-116 Highway.
Cascavel City (Brazil) – From June 28 to July 9, 2021, the 1st Brazilian Training Course of the most recent Platoon introduced by the United Nations in the organization of a Peace Mission Infantry Battalion took place. The two-week activity was conducted by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), in compliance with the most modern concepts and techniques of specialized instructions for peace operations.
Cascavel (PR) - On 5 and 6 July, 315 soldiers from the PKF Mechanized Infantry Battalion (Mech Inf Bn - PKF) took part in the UN Pre-Deployment Basic Field Exercise (EBOP, acronym in Portuguese), company level. The activities were held at the facilities of the 33 Mechanized Infantry Battalion (33 Mech Inf Bn) and at the Show Rural area in Cascavel.
Cascavel (PR) – The Mobile Training Team (MTT) of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center – an educational organization under the supervision of the Department of Military Technical Education - has been delivering, for the first time ever, the UN Engagement Platoon Training Course, contributing towards the training of soldiers from the Mechanized Infantry Battalion (Mech Inf Bn-PKF), of the 15 Mechanized Infantry Brigade, which is available to the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UNPCRS).
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 28 June to 02 July 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - a Brazilian Army Educational Organization, under the supervision of the Department of Military Technical Education, carried out the Civil-Military Coordination Course (CIMIC), aiming at preparing military, police and civilian personnel to hold positions related to the UN System of Civil Affairs.
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 7 to 11 June 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - delivered the UN Logistics and Reimbursement Course in order to prepare human resources to work in the logistics and reimbursement management inside UN PKOs.
