Infantry Battalion takes part in Peace Operations Training in Cascavel (PR)

Cascavel (PR) - On 5 and 6 July, 315 soldiers from the PKF Mechanized Infantry Battalion (Mech Inf Bn - PKF) took part in the UN Pre-Deployment Basic Field Exercise (EBOP, acronym in Portuguese), company level. The activities were held at the facilities of the 33 Mechanized Infantry Battalion (33 Mech Inf Bn) and at the Show Rural area in Cascavel.

The exercise aimed at contributing towards the training of the Mech Inf Bn (PKF) which will host the Assessment and Advisory Visit (AAV) of the United Nations Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (UNPCRS), from 12 to 14 July 2021.

During the training, the 1 Mechanized Infantry Coy and the Support and Command Coy, both from the 33 Mech Inf Bn - the core military unit for the Inf Bn certification, were evaluated. On that opportunity, the practical training of the Mech Inf Bn Engagement Platoon was also carried out. The activities were developed under the guidance of training teams from the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) and the Army SOUTH Training Center (CA-Sul, acronym in Portuguese).
