CCOPAB Hosts a Committee from ECEME

comitiva eceme3On September 17, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) hosted a committee from the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff College (ECEME) composed by 13 students from friendly nations and 2 instructors. The visitors were welcomed by CCOPAB's Commander who made the Center's institutional presentation at "Salão Nobre".

visita de chileno1On September 17, the Chilean Deputy Attaché, Colonel Jose Joaquín Clavería Guzmán, visited the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB). Colonel Baganha, CCOPAB Commander, welcomed the attaché and gave an institutional presentation about the Center.

Last day of the 2013/2 CIMIC course

diacimic1On the fifth and last day of the Course on Civil-Military Coordination (CIMIC) for Peacekeeping Missions, the students had the following lectures at the facilities of Sergio Vieira de Mello Cultural Space: "The Chilean experience in CIMIC during PKO" by Major McCarthy (Chile); and "Stop disaster game" by 1st Lieutenant Valdetaro and Warrant Officer Ronco (Argentina).

CCOPAB takes part in the UN Military Contingent Officers Course

fotoFrom September 2 to 20, Lieutenant Commander Wagner Vinicius, assistant of the Doctrine Division of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB), takes part in the UN Military Contingent Officers Course in New Delhi, India. The course dynamics allows the students to acquire knowledge from instructors who had experience in various UN missions, such as the missions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone and Lebanon.

Fourth day of the 2013/2 CIMIC course

cimic-4dia-05This Thursday, the students began their activities with a lecture by Professor Marina Motta regarding "Protection of Civilians" and "Civil-Military Coordination in the Integrated Mission of East Timor". After that, they had an instruction on "Communication and Expression, Media Relations and Media Training" by 1st Lieutenant Quéli, and a practical session, when the students role-played reporters.
