On August 21, BRAENGCOY's apprentices of the Course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (EPCSUPEL) attended these lectures: "Conducts with UNPOL and HNP" by Major Robson (Military Police of the State of Pernambuco); "PT Sections – Suggestion of Drills" by LTC Duarte; "Occupation of a Strong Point and Static Point" by Lieutenant Valdetaro; "Engineering Reconnaissance" by Lieutenant Eschiletti; "Security at Work Sites" by Lieutenant Eschiletti; and "Unblocking of Roads and Streets" by Sergeant Lyra.
On August 20, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) hosted the Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Coordenador for Help and Emergency, Baroness Valerie Amos (UN OCHA) and the Director of the United Nations Information Center for Brazil (UNIC-Rio) Mr. Giancarlo Summa his committee.
On the seventh day of the course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (EPCSUPEL) of the 19th Brazilian Contingent in Haiti (19º CONTBRAS), the apprentices were led to the Instruction Field of Gericinó in order to attend the shooting instructions of guns and rifles. It was an all-day activity which stood out the instructions related to rapid shooting and stress shooting.
On August 19, Espaço Tom Jobim, in Jardim Botânico, Rio de Janeiro held the Seminar "10 Years Without Sergio Vieira de Mello". The Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) was represented in the event with the presences of officers from the Brazilian Navy, the Brazilian Army and the Brazilian Air Force, besides the military personnel who are members of Sound of Peace Band (which is also composed of musicians from the other two military forces and military firefighters and policemen of the State of Rio de Janeiro).
On August 19, the sixth day of Course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (EPCSUPEL) of the 19th Brazilian Contingent in Haiti (19º CONTBRAS), the first morning instructions were presented by 1st LT De Souza, who talked about "On foot, Mechanized and Motorized Patrols" and "Check Points". After those instructions, the military personnel from BRABAT 19 attended instructions regarding "The Use of Sharpshooters" by Captain Guina, "The Use of Task Force and Convoy Escort" by 1st LT Lira and "Cordon, Search and Sweep Operations" by Captain Zuma.
On August 19, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) hosted a committee from the Personnel Assistance of the Office of the Brazilian Army's Commander. The committee was headed by the Chief of that Office, Colonel Márcio de Souza Nunes Ribeiro.
