CCOPAB holds initial meeting for exercise in Campinas

eaop campinas2 As the first activity of the Advanced Exercises for Peacekeeping Operations (EAOP) for BRABAT – 19th Contingent, a meeting took place on October 26 for the adaptation of the military personnel who will support the exercise as Observers, Controllers and Assessors (OCAs).

On October 27, there was another meeting for the adaptation to EAOP of the officers and sergeants who compose BRABAT – 19th Contingent; the meeting was held at the auditorium of the Preparatory School of Brazilian Army Cadets (EsPCEx).

ADVANCED EXERCISES FOR PEACEKEEPING OPERATIONS – BRAENGCOY – 1ST DAY

eaop natal3 The Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) started at 19:00h on October 25 the simulated exercise in the city of Natal/RN. The 19th Contingent of BRAENGCOY–Haiti has been under assessment by the Exercise Direction (DIREx) through several practical activities, among which are hosting foreign visitors and unblocking roads and streets.

eaop natal1From 26 to 31 of October, CCOPAB has carried out the Advanced Exercise for Peacekeeping Operations (EAOP) in the area of Natal/RN. This exercise is the final preparation of the Brazilian contingents to be deployed in several countries under peacekeeping missions by international organizations. The contingent to be prepared in Natal is the 19th of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Engineering Company – Haiti (BRAENGCOY), which will leave Brazil next November in order to be part of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH, French acronym for Mission des Nations Unies pour la Stabilisation en Haïti).

Closing of EPMP

encer epmp 06On October 17, after four weeks of intense activities, there was the closing ceremony of the Experts on Mission Course (EPMP) at the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB).

The closing ceremony of the course was headed by Colonel Baganha, CCOPAB Commander, in the hall of the 57th Motorized Infantry Battalion.

Farewell to CCOPAB’s Deputy Commander

desp cel salomao 06 On October 18, the personnel from the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) gave their farewell to their Deputy Commander Lieutenant Colonel (Brazilian Air Force) Salomão Pereira da Silva.
The farewell ceremony was held at the auditorium of Sergio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facilities and counted on the presentation of the music band from the Air Force Base of Campo dos Afonsos.

Committee from the Colombian National Army visits CCOPAB

colombia3The Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB) hosted on October 17 three officers from the Colombian National Army. The Colombian officers were welcomed by CCOPAB's Commanders Colonel Baganha, who showed them an institutional presentation regarding the Center.
After that, Lieutenant Commander (Marines) Adler presented them the activities developed in the Center, especially those related to Humanitarian Demining.
