CCOPAB participates in Felino Field Training Exercise
Between September 18 and 28, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) participated in Felino Field Training Exercise at Agulhas Negras Military Academy (AMAN, acronym in Portuguese), which is located in Resende, Rio de Janeiro. The Field Training Exercise (FTX) counted on the presence of nine members of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries and aimed at enhancing the cooperation between the Armed Forces and training personnel for employment in Peace and in Humanitarian Operations, under the aegis of the United Nations.
The Combined Joint Task Force was composed by members of the Brazilian Armed Forces (Navy, Army and Air Force), besides military personnel from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guine, Mozambique, Portugal, Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe and East Timor.
CCOPAB provided the Exercise with doctrinal support regarding the simulated military situations, guidance for the facilitators (OCA - Observer, Controller and Appraiser) and for the Chiefs of Sectors of simulated incidents, besides drone operation in order to get images on a real time basis.
