CCOPAB participates in Air Force Exercise

Between November 19 and 30, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) took part in the 2018 operational exercise CRUZEX, which took place in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. CRUZEX is a multinational exercise carried out by the Brazilian Air Force and it aims at the joint training of conflict scenarios. It also enables the exchange of experiences among the participating countries. Besides Brazil, the following countries also participated in the exercise: Germany, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, USA, France, India, Portugal, Peru, UK, Sweden, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Air Force Major Pedro Henrique Nascimento dos Santos represented CCOPAB and was one of the speakers in the International Conference on Peace Operations, which was held on the last day of the exercise. The officer delivered a lecture on the AirPower in Peace Operations. Lieutenant Colonel Rogério de Oliveira Bolzan, also a CCOPAB’s member, participated in the event as an observer of the conference, which counted on the participation of an international audience of about 600 people.
