From 10 to 14 of December, 2012, CPT Fausto Augusto de Sousa Pontes took the Course of Borderline Security and Control at the Turkish Partnership for Peace (PfP) Training Center settled in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey.
Besides having the chance of seeing how an International Joint Center works, CPT Sousa Pontes was able to share experiences with 40 other students from 21 different countries most of which in the Middle East, Central Asia and Europe.
From 2 to 7 of November, 2012, the members of the 17th Contingent of the 2nd Brazilian Peacekeeping Infantry Battalion (BRABAT 1/17) took part in the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill (EAOP) in Juiz de Fora/MG. This is the closing activity before taking off to Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital, where they will be part of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) for the next six months.

From 21 to 26 of October, 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Salomão, from the Brazilian Air Force, and Lieutenant Colonel Moleta from the Brazilian Army, both from the Doctrine Division of CCOPAB attended the Civil-Military Relations and Cooperation Seminar at the Chilean Joint Peacekeeping Operations Center (CECOPAC), in Santiago. The seminar was also organized by the Directorate-Military Training and Cooperation (DMTC) from Canada.
On October 30, 2012, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center was visited by twelve Officers from Friendly Nations (ONA) who are taking the Command and Staff Course (CCEM) at ECEME.
The guests were hosted by the Commander of CCOPAB, Colonel Baganha, who gave an institutional presentation concerning the Center and its activities.
After that, the delegation visited the Training System for the Use of Legal Force (Combat Simulator) at the "Pavilhão Integração"/Integration Room.
On October 24, 2012, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center received a delegation from the Cycle of Lectures on Military Criminal Law of the Eastern Military Command.
The visitors were hosted by LTC Durão who gave an institutional lecture about the Center and its activities.
