In the morning of March 01, last day of EPCSUPel, BRABAT and Marines military personnel took part in a videoconference with the 17th Brazilian Contingent in Haiti. At the same time, BRAENGCOY military personnel had instructions on Security of the Construction Site and Engineering Reconnaissance.
On the ninth day the 2013/1 Course for Subunit and Platoon Commanders (acronym in Portuguese: EPCUSPel) was entirely dedicated to Interdisciplinary Practice. CPT Zuma, the conductor of the activities, had the groups plan a Cordon Operation and carry out study cases based on incidents recently occurred in Haiti.
On February 27, 2013, the 8th day of EPCSUPel, right after their physical training, the students went to Campo de Instrução de Gericinó (an Instruction Field) to carry out the pistol shooting exercise. The activity lasted throughout the day and sets the conclusion of instructions related to the practice of rapid fire and shooting under stress.
DLtCdr WAGNER GRUD MARINHO and SG WALDEMAR DE BARROS, both going back to the Brazilian Navy, and SG EVANDRO LUIZ XAVIER COSTA, who has been assigned to the War College, left this Center on February 22, 2013.
February 26, 2013 was the seventh day of EPCSUPel of the 18th Brazilian Contingent/Haiti. Cpt Popov gave instructions on Holding techniques (Wrestling – Simple Practices) and conducts with UNPOL and HNP (Dealing with prisoners) in the morning
DOn the 6th day of EPCSUPEL, instructions on Task Force (mechanized and motorized); Convoy Escort; Foot, Mechanized and Motorized Patrols were given in the morning. In the afternoon, the students had instructions on Riot Control Operations and Security and Protection of Civilians.
