CCOPAB carries out Command Handover Ceremony
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 31 January 2024, the Command Handover Ceremony of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), from Colonel VAZ to Colonel ADENIR, was carried out in a ceremony presided over by Lieutenant General VALENCIA, Director of Military Technical Education (DETMil).
CCOPAB welcomes the future Commander
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 22 January 2024, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) welcomed Colonel ADENIR, future Commander of the Center, as the beginning of the activities set for the transition between the current and future Commander of CCOPAB, which is to culminate with the Handover Ceremony, to be held on 31 January.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company (EOD Coy)
Brasília/DF – On January 15, 2024, the Land Operations Command (COTER, acronym in Portuguese) and the Construction Engineering Department (DEC, acronym in Portuguese) jointly inserted into the UN Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System (UNPCRS) the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company (EOD Coy).
CCOPAB receives a visit from a delegation from the United States Army War College
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 8 December 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) welcomed a delegation from the United States Army War College (USAWC), composed of Colonel MIKE K. STINCHFIELD and Professor JOSÉ DE ARRIMATEIA DA CRUZ, both from the Center for Strategic Leadership (CSL). Colonel (Ret.) BRAIN FOSTER, Director of the Joint Land, Air and Sea Strategic Course (JLASS Course), accompanied by an instructor from the Brazilian War College (ESG), was also present.
CCOPAB concludes the organization of the XV Annual Assembly of ALCOPAZ
Salvador (BA) – From 28 November to 01 December 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) organized the XV Annual Assembly of the Latin American Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (ALCOPAZ), which was held at the Air Force Military Convention and Accommodation Center (CEMCOHA).
CCOPAB completes training of female military and state police personnel for peacekeeping missions
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – From 20 November to 01 December 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) carried out the Sectoral course for the Specific Preparation of Female Military and Police Personnel for Peacekeeping Operations (EPESFOP). The aim is to complement the knowledge of the 16 future blue helmets, among military personnel from the Brazilian Army and the State Police of Rio Grande do Sul and Tocantins. The purpose of the activity is to better train female personnel to participate in complex peace operations, which requires them, in a practical way, to have emotional control and resistance to fatigue in adverse situations, among other skills.
