CCOPAB carries out Command Handover Ceremony
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 31 January 2024, the Command Handover Ceremony of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), from Colonel VAZ to Colonel ADENIR, was carried out in a ceremony presided over by Lieutenant General VALENCIA, Director of Military Technical Education (DETMil).
The beginning of the activities was marked by the inauguration ceremony of the portrait of Colonel VAZ, replaced Commander, in the Gallery of Former CCOPAB Commanders.
Next, the Command Handover Ceremony was carried out, with the presence of Lieutenant General EDUARDO, Commander of the 1st Army Division (1DE); Lieutenant General BRAGA, Governance and Management Advisor of the Army Department of Education and Culture (DECEx); Ambassador DANIELLA XAVIER, Director of the Historical and Diplomatic Museum of Itamaraty; Major General YOSHIDA, Commander of the Captain Career School; Major General (Ret.) RAMIRES, former CCOPAB Commander; Mr. ANJOUM NOORANI, Consul General of the United Kingdom in Rio de Janeiro; Mr. ANDRÉ SIMÕES, Nephew and Godson of Sergio Vieira de Mello (Patron of CCOPAB); and Mr. PEDRO RESENDE, Deputy Security Officer Advisor of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) in Brazil; among other civil and military authorities, as well as family members and guests.
