CCOPAB receives a visit from a delegation from the United States Army War College
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On 8 December 2023, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) welcomed a delegation from the United States Army War College (USAWC), composed of Colonel MIKE K. STINCHFIELD and Professor JOSÉ DE ARRIMATEIA DA CRUZ, both from the Center for Strategic Leadership (CSL). Colonel (Ret.) BRAIN FOSTER, Director of the Joint Land, Air and Sea Strategic Course (JLASS Course), accompanied by an instructor from the Brazilian War College (ESG), was also present.
The beginning of the activities was marked by a presentation of CCOPAB's capabilities when it comes to preparing military, police and civilian personnel, from Brazil or from friendly nations, assigned to peacekeeping and humanitarian demining missions. In addition, the training of contingents of the Humanitarian Logistics Task Force (Operation ACOLHIDA) and the preparation of troops included in the United Nations Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System (UNPCRS) was also mentioned. Afterwards, a visit to CCOPAB facilities was conducted, when they could visit “Memorial Haiti” and interact with the staff of the Center, which presented the bibliographic material used as the basis for the development and execution of teaching activities.
