Aiming at strengthening the cooperation bonds with international institutions, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) designated one of its members, Lieutenant (Navy) Rodrigo Souza, to be an instructor in the UN Military Expert in Mission Course, held in the Peace Support Training Center (PSTC), in Kingston-Ontario, Canada.
From 13th to 17th of March, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) carried out the training of the 4th Light Infantry Brigade, which is part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System – UNPCRS.
On March 17, Major Flávio Henrique, instructor of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) went to the Armor Advanced Course School (EsAO, acronym in Portuguese) in order to deliver a lecture to Brazilian Army captains, who are currently attending that course. The lecture was about peace operations under the aegis of international organizations and the Brazilian way of peacekeeping.
On March 9 and 10, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) participated in the 2nd International Seminar on Military Women in Bogota, Colombia. The aim of the Seminar was to discuss the challenges faced by military women in the Armed Forces with multiple missions, as well as to enhance the value of the participation of their homeland, strengthen their capacities and develop the military morale.
The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) capacitated ten more Brazilian Army members as staff officers for individual missions under the aegis of the United Nations.
Since last March 6, Foreign Relations researchers from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC/RJ, acronym in Portuguese), have visited the facilities of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The aim is to build an important alliance between CCOPAB and the Foreign Relations Department from the Catholic University.
