CCOPAB starts UNPCRS training of troops
From 13th to 17th of March, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) carried out the training of the 4th Light Infantry Brigade, which is part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Capabilities Readiness System – UNPCRS.
Within a period of one week, CCOPAB’s instruction team delivered practical and theoretical subjects related to what commanders of military units, general staff, sub unit commanders and platoon leaders may find overseas. All this military personnel compose the Military Force that can be used by UNPCRS. The following subjects were covered during the training in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais: United Nations Legal Framework; Human Rights, Child Protection; Peace and Security; Sexual Exploitation and Abuse; Environment; Logistics and Rules of Engagement.
Prior to shooting with real ammunition, the military personnel from the 4th Light Infantry Brigade was given the chance to train lots of different actions in the shooting simulator, which belongs to CCOPAB, and that optimized the use of resources.
