Luanda (ANGOLA).On the morning of 08 December, CCOPAB Mobile Training Team was welcomed by Col DANIEL KABOBO, Chief of the Special Preparation Office of the Angolan Army Infrastructure and Engineering Direction, by Mr. JUSTO DE ROSÁRIO BALUNDO FIRMINO, Coordinator of the Technical Demining Formation Center, and by Ms. DOMINGAS CRISTOVÃO, Deputy Director-General for Management of the National Institute of Demining (INAD, acronym in Portuguese).
Luanda (ANGOLA).The Ministry of Defense and the Brazilian Navy supported the Brazilian Army in a pioneer project of international relevance - they put into practice the first Mobile Training Team (MTT) of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), deploying it in Luanda, Angola, with the purpose of giving the Introductory Course on Mine Action in UN Peace Operations.
O Centro Conjunto de Operações de Paz do Brasil (CCOPAB) recebeu, em 15 de novembro, o Certificado de Reconhecimento do Treinamento do Estágio de Preparação para Missões de Paz para Oficiais de Estado-Maior (EPMP – Staff Officer). Após a visita de avaliação do TC Adil Fichtali, Oficial de Treinamento do Serviço de Treinamento Integrado / Departamento de Operações de Manutenção da Paz & Departamento de Apoio às Operações de Campo (ITS /DPKO & DFS – sigla em Inglês), ocorrida no período de 08 a 17 de outubro do corrente ano, este Centro Conjunto obteve o referido reconhecimento por estar de acordo com as normas de treinamento preconizadas pela Organização das Nações Unidas.
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On the morning of 28 November, the Humanitarian Demining Course for Officers and NCOs ended at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB). The objective of the course is to improve the professional capacity of military personnel to work as international supervisor and monitor in humanitarian demining missions under the aegis of international organizations.
Itaipava (RJ) - Between 24 and 28 November, there was the Workshop on Women Protection in PKOs - an international event coordinated by the Ministry of Defense and carried out by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center. Having representatives from Argentina, Uruguay and Ecuador, either military personnel or civilians, the event met the demands of the Latin American Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers. Civilians institutions were represented by Igarapé
Itaipava (RJ) - On 25 November, there was the opening ceremony of the Workshop on Women Protection in PKOs - an international event coordinated by the Ministry of Defense and carried out by CCOPAB. Lieutenant General Álvaro Gonçalves Wanderley, Deputy Chief of Peace Operations in the Brazilian Armed Forces Joint Staff, chaired the ceremony.
