On 07 November, CCOPAB carried out the closing ceremony of the commander and staff course for the Maritime Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL/MTF).The ceremony was held at Sérgio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facility, in the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB).
BRÁSILIA, DF - Last Tuesday, 4 November, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) was awarded with the Order of Merit accolade from the Military Public Prosecutor's Office. CCOPAB was represented by the Commander - Colonel José Ricardo Vendramin Nunes - accompanied by 2LT André Baroni Oliveira who carried the National Flag. The ceremony was carried out by the apposition of the Order of Merit accolade on CCOPAB's flag.
On 31 October, The Brazilian Engineering Company finished the UN pre-deployment advanced field exercise, the last phase of its preparation to integrate the 21st Brazilian Contingent in the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), with an excellent result. As the last activity of the exercise, there was an after action review (AAR) with all the engineering company.
On 30 October, the fourth day of the UN pre-deployment advanced field exercise of the 21st contingent of the Brazilian Engineering Company, in the city of Natal, the following activities were carried out: CIMIC activities at a school and a simulated UN Operational Readiness Inspection.
On 26 October, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) started the pre-deployment advanced field exercise (EAOP, acronym in Portuguese) in the city of Santa Maria, the last phase of the preparation of BRABAT 21. The exercise will be held from 26 to 31 October and it involves 91 soldiers from CCOPAB and 1200 from BRABAT 21 (888 soldiers from the Army, 244 from the Navy, 34 from the Air Force, 31 from Paraguay, 2 from Canada and 1 from Peru).
On this third day, 29 October, the pre-deployment advanced field exercise of the Brazilian Engineering Company, in the city of Natal, the troops took part in several activities as the following: ship transportation of earthworks equipment, aiming to test the capabilities of the engineering detachment, and monthly payment withdrawal, focusing on security measures.
