This Friday, June 19, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center celebrated its 5th anniversary, completed on June 15. The event was highlighted by a parade in which Colonel José Ricardo Vendramin Nunes, CCOPAB Commander, addressed a few words to remember the date.
Bogota (Colombia) – On 10 June 2015, the UN Staff Officer Course (UNSOC) started at the Escuela de Misiones Internacionales y Acción Integral(ESMAI). The course is delivered by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint training Center (CCOPAB) Mobile Training Team (MTT), whose components are 01 Brazilian Navy Officer, 03 Brazilian Army Officers and 01 French Army Officer.
On June 5, 2015, a delegation of the Royal College of Defence Studies of the United Kingdom visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB). The purpose of the visit was to know the work developed by CCOPAB.
On May 29, 2015, there was the ending ceremony of the MTF/UNIFIL Commander and Staff Course. The ceremony took place in Sérgio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facility at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB).
This Friday, May 29, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center celebrated the International Day of the UN Peacekeepers. During the event, there was a parade in which the presidents of the Association of the Members of the Suez Battalion and of the Brazilian Interamerican Armed Force, as well as former members of peacekeeping missions, were present. At this opportunity, a message, written by the Minister of Defense and related to the International Day of the UN Peacekeepers, was read. Also, Colonel José Ricardo Vendramin Nunes made a speech. A flower wreath was laid on the monument to honor the ones who have fallen in Peace Missions. Afterwards, Taps was played.
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 04 May, the UNSOC and UNMOC, in its third and last phase of preparation of Staff Officers and Military Observers, started at CCOPAB and it was to last for 4 weeks. The firts phase is conducted through e-learning and CCOPAB is in charge of it. The second phase is on-site to be conducted by the Center for Personnel Studies and Fort Duque de Caxias.
