Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center is part of the Assessment Team in support of the Brazilian Contingent in Lebanon and of the flagship in the 1st semester of 2015
From June 07 to 14, the Assessment Team composed of officers from the Ministry of Defense, Navy Staff, Naval Operations Command, Admiral Marques de Leão Training Center (CAAML - acronym in Portuguese), 1st Helicopter Squadron of Reconnaissance and Attack (EsqdHA - acronym in Portuguese) and Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center visited Frigate União and Ocean Patrol Vessel (NaPaOc) Apa docked in the port of Beirute. They also visited the Maritime Task Force in UNIFIL and took part of the Handover Ceremony of the flagship, from NaPaOc Apa to Frigate União. The aim of the visit was to check the operational, logistic, administrative environments and the security in UNIFIL's area of operations.
On June 23, continuing the activities that celebrate CCOPAB's fifth anniversary, the Force Commander of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO) gave a lecture on "Protection of Civilians in a Robust Peacekeeping Context" in the Sérgio Vieira de Mello Cultural Facility.
On June 22, 2015, a delegation from Zimbabwe, headed by the Commander of the Zimbabwean National Defense College, Air Vice Marshal Michael Tedzani Moyo, visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB). The purpose of the visit was to see CCOPAB's possibilities and to strengthen friendship ties, as part of the curriculum of the High Studies Course in Zimbabwe.
This Friday, June 19, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center celebrated its 5th anniversary, completed on June 15. The event was highlighted by a parade in which Colonel José Ricardo Vendramin Nunes, CCOPAB Commander, addressed a few words to remember the date.
Bogota (Colombia) – On 10 June 2015, the UN Staff Officer Course (UNSOC) started at the Escuela de Misiones Internacionales y Acción Integral(ESMAI). The course is delivered by the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint training Center (CCOPAB) Mobile Training Team (MTT), whose components are 01 Brazilian Navy Officer, 03 Brazilian Army Officers and 01 French Army Officer.
