Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center is part of the Assessment Team in support of the Brazilian Contingent in Lebanon and of the flagship in the 1st semester of 2015

From June 07 to 14, the Assessment Team composed of officers from the Ministry of Defense, Navy Staff, Naval Operations Command, Admiral Marques de Leão Training Center (CAAML - acronym in Portuguese), 1st Helicopter Squadron of Reconnaissance and Attack (EsqdHA - acronym in Portuguese) and Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center visited Frigate União and Ocean Patrol Vessel (NaPaOc) Apa docked in the port of Beirute. They also visited the Maritime Task Force in UNIFIL and took part of the Handover Ceremony of the flagship, from NaPaOc Apa to Frigate União. The aim of the visit was to check the operational, logistic, administrative environments and the security in UNIFIL's area of operations.

Different sectors of MTF presented lectures in which they addressed administrative and political issues related to the mission. The team also visited the facilities of UNIFIL HQ in Naqoura, including the MTF and MAROPS facilities and the Brazilian House.
