Fourth day - EAOP - Cuiabá

4dia eaop2On May 01, the day before the last day of the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill, BRABAT 18 faced simulations aiming to close the final training for the mission they will carry out in Haiti starting at the end of May 2013.

The incidents are set up by the Direction of the Exercise (DIREx) and try to simulate situations likely to happen in Haiti. In the morning, DIREx was visited by Lieutenant General Paulo Sergio Melo de Carvalho from the Ministry of Defense.

4º DAY OF THE EAOP/ BRAENGCOY 18

DSC 0202 600x4001DOn the fourth day of the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill (EAOP) of the 18th Contingent of BRAENGCOY (Tuesday, April 30), the following activities were carried out as previewed in the schedule: vertical constructions; ditch cleaning; road reconnaissance; material withdrawal at Log Yard; explosion at a public facility; well reconnaissance; an Operation Readiness Inspection (ORI); and drainage. The activities were developed according to regular patterns.

Third day – EAOP - Cuiabá

cimic 4 548x400On April 30, the activities during the third day of the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill (EAOP) in Cuiabá and Várzea Grande happened according to the synchronized schedule. Several simulations were carried out, such as accidents with civilian victims, fight among locals and a journalists' visit to Haiti.

FOTO 11On April 29, during the second day of the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill, the military personnel of BRABAT 18 kept on accomplishing simulated incidents in Várzea Grande, Barra and Cuiabá-MT. They carried out patrols, faced public demonstrations and accidents with vehicles and military personnel, worked with civilians, among others. These situations are created based on visits "in loco" to the Battalion in Haiti and are as close as possible to reality..
