On May 13, 2013, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (acronym in Portuguese: CCOPAB) hosted Mr. Nigel Fisher, the United Nations' Head of the Mission for the Stabilization in Haiti (acronym in French: MINUSTAH) and acting Special Representative or the Secretary-General of the UN, together with Lieutenant General Roberto Severo Ramos, from the Brazilian Ministry of Defense.
From 06 to 17 of May, CCOPAB promotes a course whose objective is to adapt military personnel to drive military vehicles and to fill in the vacancies for drivers at CCOPAB. The course will be taken by the soldiers and corporals from the Center.
On May 7, CCOPAB carried out the presentation of the National Flag to the new privates. The Center's strength took part in the ceremony which also crowned the period of Basic Training.
On May 6, the Course for Unit Commanders and Staff Officers (EPCOEM) started in the facilities of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB). EPCOEM is suited for the officers assigned by the Brazilian Navy to take part in the Staff of the UNIFIL Maritime Task Force (UNIFIL – MTF).
The Commander and the Deputy of the Frigate assigned to be part of the MTF, as well as their Chiefs of Department, will be given preliminary instructions according to the weekly schedule, such as instruction to check their knowledge and preliminary study.
Ending the Peacekeeping Operations Advanced Drill (EAOP), in the cities of Cuiabá and Várzea Grande, BRABAT carried out situations such as: demonstrations after the result of the elections and a cordon joint operation which had the support of a military aircraft, according to the incident schedule.
