CCOPAB starts off EPCOEM

On May 6, the Course for Unit Commanders and Staff Officers (EPCOEM) started in the facilities of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (CCOPAB). EPCOEM is suited for the officers assigned by the Brazilian Navy to take part in the Staff of the UNIFIL Maritime Task Force (UNIFIL – MTF).

The Commander and the Deputy of the Frigate assigned to be part of the MTF, as well as their Chiefs of Department, will be given preliminary instructions according to the weekly schedule, such as instruction to check their knowledge and preliminary study.
The officers aforementioned will get familiar with the exercises to be carried out during the Peacekeeping Operations Basic and Advanced Drills, EBOP and EAOP, respectively.
EPCOEM lasts a week and trains the officers, through lectures and vídeo conferences, which are carried out by officers who are presently in the mission or who have just come back, as well as by personnel who support, know or interact with the mission or with the area in which it occurs.
