Visit of a committee from Kenya’s NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE

On April 17, 2012, a committee of officers and civilians from Kenya's National Defence College, headed by its Director, illustrious Lieutenant General Njuki Mwaniki, visited the facilities of the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center.

The visitors were hosted by Colonel Baganha, Commander of the Center. After that, they went to the facility called "Espaço Integração", where they could know the Training System for the Use of Legal Force (Combat Simulator).

Cadets from the Brazilian Army’s Military Academy visit CCOPAB

On April 11, 2012, the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center hosted 137 4th-year Infantry Cadets from the Brazilian Army's Military Academy.

At that moment, Infantry Cap MAURÍCIO BERNARDES MIGUEL, one of the Instructors of the Individual Missions' Section of the Center, made a lecture on the topics "Peace Mission" and "Activities developed by the Center". Preparatory Course for Journalists in Conflict Areas 2012

April 09, 2012 was the first day of the Preparatory Course for Journalists in Conflict Areas offered by the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center (acronym in Portuguese: CCOPAB).

The first lecture of the course was presented by Mr. Lieutenant General Carlos Alberto Neiva Barcellos, who explained the apprentices the activities performed by the Center of Social Communication of the Brazilian Army. After that, Lieutenant Colonel Cavalcanti made a lecture on the Brazilian participation in the different peacekeeping missions, with emphasis on the experience in Haiti.

On April 10, 2012, the Civil Servant Rafaela Araújo Jordão Rigaud Peixoto, translator of the Division of Aeronautical Information Service of the Aeronautical Cartography Institute (DSIA/ICA), visited the Division of Translators and Interpreters from CCOPAB. The idea of the visit was to deepen the professional exchange concerning the terms used in several areas in order to solve possible differences and to support the opportunities of improvement. Staff Course of the Army War College visits CCOPAB

The students from the Staff Course of the Army War College visited the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center on March 27, 2012. At this opportunity, the officers from the Armed Forces knew the Cultural Facility Sergio Vieira de Mello where Commander (Marines) Wagner Vinícius, from this Center, gave a lecture on the participation of Brazilians in Peace Operations and Captain (Marines) João Carlos Küster Maia, from the Ministry of Defense, a lecture on Peace Operations.

Students from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) visits CCOPAB

Fifty-three students of the sophomore year from the IME Graduate Course, accompanied by Capt Monteiro and 1^st LT Melquíades, visited the Brazilian Peacekeeping Operations Joint Center on March 20, 2012. They were received by Lieutenant Commander Odimar Gomes Leite, Deputy Commander of the Center. At this opportunity, 1^st LT Maurício Dias Lopes Valdetaro, instructor of the Individual Missions Subsection, gave a lecture in the auditorium of the Cultural Facility Sergio Vieira de Mello. The lecture was on: Peace Operations/ CCOPAB and the performance of the Military Engineer in Peace Operations.
