The aim of the EAOP is to evaluate the preparation, training, and professional efficiency in a peace operation and consolidate the esprit de corps and the feeling of accomplishment of a mission among the members of the contingent.

The referred exercise is applied at the end of the preparation in which the Infantry Battalion and the Engineering Company receive a fictitious Area of Responsibility.

Inside its area of responsibility, the troop will develop and take part in synchronized activities according to a schedule.

The exercise counts on the support of university students from different areas, public utility organs and press professionals inserted in the exercise context.

Besides the previously planned activities, fictitious situations, which are essential to the exercise, are brought up and triggered with the help of journalists, university students and the local population.

Amongst the countless situations and events, we can highlight the relationship with NGOs, International Organizations, Civil Military Operations (CIMIC), relationship with local leaders, etc. These situations are vital to train the different operational cells and systems of an Infantry Battalion or of an Engineering Company, simulating an operational environment as close as possible to the reality to be faced by the troop.
