French Military Attaché in Brazil visits CCOPAB

Rio de Janeiro, (RJ) – On 14 February, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) – Sergio Vieira de Mello Center –, welcomed COL Charles Orlianges, Military Attaché, with the French Embassy, followed by LT COL Pierre-Yves Dérangère, Security and Defense Cooperation Board Officer (Paris).

There was an entourage, which was followed by MAJ Yoann Manuel Pierre Yvinec, French Instructor Officer at CCOPAB. The entourage was received by COL Márcio Carneiro Barbosa, CCOPAB Commander.

The purpose of the visit was to address aspects related to prevention and stabilization in peace missions, including the possibilities for French support in future operations under the aegis of the UN, as well as the teaching of French.

On that occasion, there was also an institutional lecture, which was conducted by CCOPAB Commander.

The French Officers visited CCOPAB French Lab (Marechal José Pessoa Cavalcanti de Albuquerque Room).

The visit finished with a lunch, an opportunity in which COL Charles Orlianges and LT COL Charles Orlianges signed CCOPAB Book of Honor. They also received an institutional souvenir from CCOPAB Commander.
