The last day of the international course on Supporting Humanitarian Action in Responding to Emergencies and Disasters
Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – The certification ceremony held last Thursday 31 March, represented the end of the first course on Supporting Humanitarian Action in Responding to Emergencies and Disasters (SHARED) in Latin America. On the last day, the students were submitted to an exercise with questions about safe environment, how to obtain humanitarian aid, quick impact projects, protection of civilians, best practices and lessons learned.



Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 29 March, the course on Supporting Humanitarian Actions in Response to Emergencies and Disasters (SHARED) started out. It is delivered by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs - OCHA, in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Defense.
From March 13 to 18, CCOPAB carried out the reconnaissance in the city of Cristalina, GO, aiming at the preparation of the next Brazilian Contingent to be deployed in Haiti. The work consists of collecting data and logistical support for the planning and execution of the UN Pre-deployment Advanced Field Exercise which will take place in that city in April.
