CCOPAB MTT ends the Introductory Course on Mine Action in Angola

Luanda (ANGOLA). On 12 December, the Mobile Training Team (MTT), deployed in Luanda, successfully accomplished their objective of providing the Introductory Course on Mine Action in UN Peace Operations for 22 Angolan students (Military personnel, Police and Civilians), within the period of 8 to 12 December.

This first CCOPAB MTT, when achieving its initial objective, contributed to the preparation of Angolan managers and instructors when it comes to demining in Peace Operations and Humanitarian Demining itself.

The Closing Ceremony, held at the facilities of the National Institute of Demining (INAD, acronym in Portuguese), was presided by Col DANIEL KABOBO, representative of the Angolan Army, by Lt Col Luiz Fabiano Mafra NEGREIROS, officer-in-charge of CCOPAB MTT, by Ms. DOMINGAS CRISTOVÃO, representative of INAD and by Sergeant Major MARCIO TAVARES GARCIA, Assistant of the Attaché of Brazilian Defense, Navy, Army and Air Force in Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe.

After certificates were given to the students and words of gratitude were spoken, in order to celebrate the success achieved, the host invited all the participants to take part in a celebration toast.
