A physician from CCOPAB takes part in the Field Medical Assistance Course

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 4 April to 6 May 2022, 2nd Lieutenant Isabela Aiolfi, Physician at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB), took part in the Field Medical Assistance Course, coordinated by the Medical Detachment of the Airborne Infantry Brigade.

The course aimed at training officers and sergeants from the medical corps to directly act in operational situations, contributing to the well-being of troops and to the success of the mission. At the end of the course, students were awarded the orange patrol cap, a symbol of a rescuer.

Apart from the Airborne Medical Detachment, the Special Operations Battalion of Rio de Janeiro State Police (BOPE, acronym in Portuguese), the 3rd Squadron of the 8th Brazilian Air Force Aviation Group and the Nova Iguaçu City Morgue also provided support to the course.

At CCOPAB, LT Aiolfi has been an instructor in several courses, especially when it comes to operational health, first aid and disease prevention.
