Brasília (DF) – From 12 to 17 December 2021, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) supported the Selection Assistance and Assessment Team (SAAT), a UN team in charge of administering tests to police personnel volunteering for peace missions. The tests comprised English and French proficiency exams, interviews, computer skills, driving skills and shooting.

One hundred and six state police members were evaluated. They were represenatives of the following states, dictrict and institution: Amapá, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Federal District, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Sergipe, Tocantins, as well as police personnel assigned to the National Public Security Secretariat (SENASP, acronym in Portuguese). In the end, 34 police officers were approved in all phases of the selection, out of which three were female offficers.

The activity was coordinated by the State Police General Inspectorate (IGPM, acronym in Portuguese) of the Land Operations Command (COTER, acronym in Portuguese) and by the Planalto Military Command. It is also worth mentioning the support provided by the Military School of Brasília, the Presidential Guard Battalion, the Brasília Army Police Battalion and the Administration and Support Base of the Planalto Military Command; they were fundamental to the success of the event.
