CCOPAB carries out Unit Commander and Staff Course for UNIFIL MTF

Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - From 1 to 4 July, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) - Sergio Vieira de Mello Center - carried out another edition of the Training Course for Commander and Officers of the Maritime Task Force of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (MTF-UNIFIL, acronym in Portuguese). The activity had 8 (eight) attendees, among them, officers and enlisted personnel of the General Staff of the mission.

The course aimed at training the participants to occupy their positions, through the study of the Core Pre-Deployment Training Materials (CPTM). In addition, through oral presentations and VTC, students got familiarized with the challenges in the field.

COL Machado, CCOPAB's Commander, opened the course by delivering an overview lecture on CCOPAB, as well as welcoming the attendees. The participation of COL Hofmman (Air Force) and Commander Amendoeira (Navy), both from the Permanent Mission of Brazil in the United Nations (MPBONU, acronym in Portuguese), by means of video conference, when COL Hofmman and Commander Amendoeira were able to give a lecture on their vast knowledge about Peace Missions. The closing of the course was characterized by a ceremony in which the students received the certificate of completion.
