CCOPAB starts the 3rd phase of the Military Experts on Mission Course

From April 9 to 20, the third phase of the Military Experts on Mission Course reached two weeks of duration at the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The Course, which lasts four weeks, aims at preparing military and police personnel who will be deployed as Staff Officers, Military Observers (MilObs) and UNPOL (United Nations Police).

Lebanese Army Command and General Staff College officers visit CCOPAB

On April 10, a Lebanese delegation composed by Major General Piloto Bassan Yassine, commander of Fouad Chehab Command and Staff College, Major General Amin El Orm, Training Director of the Lebanese Armed Forces, and Major General Bilal Al Shawa, instructor, visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The aim of the visit was to facilitate future cooperation between the Brazilian and Lebanese Armed Forces.

United Kingdom Military Attaché Officer visits CCOPAB

On March 16, Captain (Navy) Kevin Fleming, United Kingdom Military Defense Attaché Officer in Brazil, visited the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese). The purpose of the visit was to promote more exchange of information as well as to broaden the cooperation bonds between Brazil and the United Kingdom and go over the current challenges of peace missions.

South Commander of the American Army visits CCOPAB

Aiming at strengthening the bonds with the South Army of the United States, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) received on March 13 the visit of Major General Mark R. Stammer, Commander of the South Army of the USA, together with Chilean MG Edmundo Villarroel, Interoperational Deputy Commander of the South Army, CSM William M. Rinehart, Assistant of the Commander of the South Army of the U.S., besides other representatives of the American Army.

CCOPAB participates in the first Meeting of Female Soldiers at Military Academy

Resende (Rio de Janeiro) – On March 09, Agulhas Negras Military Academy (AMAN, acronym in Portuguese) carried out the first meeting of female soldiers, entitled “A força da Mulher na Força”1 , in a tribute for the International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 08. The Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese) was represented by Captain Camila Paiva as one of the guest speakers.
