In October, Captain Valdetaro, instructor of the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB, acronym in Portuguese), participated as instructor of the German United Nations Experts on Mission Course, held at the German United Nations Training Center, in Hammelburg-Germany.

The officer was part of a team of 18 instructors from 12 different countries (Germany, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brazil, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Equator, Hungary, Nigeria, Peru and Serbia). Throughout the course, Captain Valdetaro could share CCOPAB’s experience and know-how regarding the preparation of peacekeepers deployed in MINUSTAH and in the many individual missions around the world.

The course had 41 attendees from different nationalities: Germany, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, China, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Equator, El Salvador, Gana, Guatemala, Grenada, Guyana, Jordan, Lesotho, Lebanon, Morocco, Moldavia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Portugal, Peru, Sierra Leone and Sri Lanka. There were 23 female attendees out of the 41 participants.

Captain Valdetaro’s participation was of great importance in order to strengthen the long-lasting bonds with the German Training Center.

It is worth to highlight that Captain Valdetaro has been selected by the Office of the Brazilian Army’s Commander to be instructor of the European Union Training Mission in Central Africa Republic, from December 2019 to December 2020.
