CCOPAB sends Mobile Training Team (MTT) to Colombia

Bogota (Colombia) - From 8 to 12 October 2018, CCOPAB sent a Mobile Training Team (MTT) to Bogota to deliver a Training of Trainers Course (TOT), CPTM/teaching techniques. The activity was carried out at the Escuela de Misiones Internacionales y Acción Integral (ESMAI), headed by COL César Alberto Káran Benítez (director).

The course aimed at enabling participants to prepare instructions following the United Nations (UN) standards and also at conveying core information regarding PKOs as written in the CPTM. To do so, the MTT shared information on the lessons learned by deploying Brazilian military personnel in peace missions, teaching and training techniques and the use of teaching aids. The focus was to provide the instructor with tools to make class planning easier.

Twenty-three students successfully completed the course - sixteen from the Army, 02 from the Air Force, 03 from the National Police and 02 from the Navy. It is important to highlight the participation of 03 female soldiers: 2LT Nathaly Contreras Sandoval, 2LT Erika Johana Medina Contreras and 1LT Daniela Vargas Restrepo.

CCOPAB MTT was composed of MAJ Zuma, LCDR Bruno Luis, CPT Mascarenhas, 2LT Rosângela and SGM P. Silva. COL Hélcio - Brazilian Army Attaché in Colombia, LTC Clayton Ricardo Pontes (ESMAI instructor) and LTC Daniel Guimarães Fernandes (ESMAI instructor) welcomed CCOPAB MTT in Bogotá.
