The Military Translators and Interpreters Course is concluded at CCOPAB

etimil 003Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - The ceremony to award the certificates, carried out on March 24, represented the end of the first 2016 Military Translators and Interpreters Course (ETIMIL, acronym in Portuguese).

Over the week, officers and NCOs from the Brazilian Army and an officer from the Brazilian Navy received several instructions and training, amongst which there were: stress management, technical translation and simultaneous and consecutive interpretations.

CCOPAB carries out reconnaissance in the city of Cristalina

rec-cristalina-001From March 13 to 18, CCOPAB carried out the reconnaissance in the city of Cristalina, GO, aiming at the preparation of the next Brazilian Contingent to be deployed in Haiti. The work consists of collecting data and logistical support for the planning and execution of the UN Pre-deployment Advanced Field Exercise which will take place in that city in April.

CCOPAB is certified by the UN

ccopab-certificado-2016-001On March 18th, CCOPAB received the certificate from the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations concerning the preparation of United Nations Police which is included in the Experts on Mission Course (EPMP, acronym in Portuguese). The certificate, the fourth received by CCOPAB, was awarded in the Ministry of Defense by the Chief of the Armed Forces Joint Staff, Admiral Ademir Sobrinho to the CCOPAB Commander Colonel Carlos Augusto Ramires Teixeira.

CCOPAB ends the Civil-Military Coordination Course

cimicIMG 3739Rio de Janeiro (RJ) – On Friday, March 18, the ceremony to deliver the certificates represented the end of the first Civil-Military Coordination Course (CIMIC) of 2016, which is part of the preparation of the 24th Brazilian Contingent of the United Nations Mission Stabilization in Haiti.

Coordination Meeting with CCOPAB’s Partner Institutions

Reu parcerias 001On March 09, 2016, the first coordination meeting with CCOPAB's partner institutions was carried out. The main goal was to establish an Annual Working Plan focusing on common activities related to Peace Operations. As the main conclusion, the idea is to create a network of researchers composed of members from the following institutions: CCOPAB, USP (University of São Paulo - SP), Igarapé Institute, UFF (Fluminense Federal University – RJ), PUC (Pontifical University – RJ), UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and Estácio de Sá University (RJ)
