CCOPAB participates in the 22nd Conference of IAPTC

Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) - On 26 September, the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB) participated in the 22nd Annual Conference of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers (IAPTC).The event, which takes place this year in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be held from 26 to 29 September and will have the participation of 55 countries and 197 attendees.The aim of the event is to promote training partnerships and contributions to strengthen the structures of the regional associations.

The opening of the event had the presence of local leaders, such as the Minister of Defense, Mrs. Marina Pendes, and Bosnian generals.

After that, the Conference was officially opened by the Lieutenant General Gláucio Lucas Alves of the Brazilian Army, current President of the Association.Then, the Executive Committee members made considerations concerning the event.

In the afternoon, there was a panel about the future of training for peacekeeping missions under the perspectives of UN (United Nations), NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), AU (African Union), EU (European Union), OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe).

Later, the Ideas Bazaar was carried out, during which many organizations exposed their materials and the attendees could make networking with partners from other countries and institutions.
