Media Advisor and Journalist in Conflict Areas Course
Rio de Janeiro – From 4 to 8 July, the Media Advisor and Journalist in Conflict Areas Course is being carried out in the Brazilian Peace Operations Joint Training Center (CCOPAB). The students are 34 (thirty-four) members of the press from the entire country.
The purpose of the course is to prepare the media professionals to work in conflict zones emphasizing personal security procedures and relationship between the military forces and civilian organizations. Thus, it contributes to the promotion of the work of the Brazilian Armed Forces in Peace Operations under the aegis of the United Nations.
The opening of the course was done by Lieutenant General Otavio Santana do Rêgo Barros and had the lecture of journalist Carlos De Lannoy, from Globo TV.
